London Family Photographer - Holland Park Portrait Shoot:
Wow did I love photographing this family! They were visiting London for a couple of weeks and wanted some family pictures to capture their holiday. Their mom and I planned a shoot for late October and crossed our fingers for some nice weather and foliage. Our wishes must have worked because it was a beyond beautiful warm Autumn day and we shot the children and family portrait session with Laila and Nabeel in one of my favorite parks in West London – Holland Park. Definitely one of my favorite shoots of the Autumn season!
As a London-based family photographer I love to capture beautiful moments of realness – people hanging out with their kids at the park just being themselves. This special shoot was exactly that – I fell in love with this wonderful family while photographing them! Their two little children were the sweetest angels during our shoot smiling and playing through the whole shoot with zero meltdowns – which is pretty impressive! Their smiles created a relaxed and enjoyable experience, and the children felt like they’re on a play date – we had a lot of fun chasing peacocks and squirrels, analyzing the last of this season’s flowers and running in the Japanese gardens. When I get to work with a family as cool as this one and capture beautiful moments of connection and the energy of the family I simply adore it!
Autumn is one of my favorite seasons for children and family photography in London. The light is warm and really flattering for capturing those beautiful smiles and emotions, and it’s also a good time to think about printing Christmas cards.
